How to learn to have complacence, university degree and good work.

After finishing education many young people start thinking what to do: go to the university or not to go. If the response is “Yes”, then another trouble rise up: “What to study?” and “How to study?” Every decade has its famous or fashionable university courses. Ten years ago it was Sociology, Pedagogy, Journalism and of course Management and Marketing Studies. Today more popular are Cosmetology, Tourism and Recreation or Accountancy. Many of the future students chose this kind of studies not because they were interested in it, but because lots of their pals made a similar decision. The first year is deciding.

After final exams student should know what kind of object of interest is good for him and what he will do during the next four or five years at the university. This is the best time to look around, modify the course and make the choice one more time. Apart from field of study the most important are people’s interests and passions. Student may do many things at this area. Let’s take for example Management and Marketing Studies. That kind of knowledge should allow young adept of this discipline understand contemporary management techniques and methods of marketing, assist to become a responsible open-minded manager who knows how to extend and maintain long-time bonds with customers. Student should not only know the difference between multi-level marketing and word-of-mouth marketing (WOM marketing), but also try to make use of it in his existence. He can make some social experiments, try to sell something using social network, take a part in marketing buzz and control information about product, look at people’s reactions, take notes and the most important – enjoy.

The other field of interest – Journalism. According to definition Journalism is “gathering, processing, and dissemination of news and information related to the news to an audience”, so it’s a field of study where being lettered is a big asset. Young journalists should like reading all kind of books and understand how to separate and select information. They must like speaking with other people and gently listen what they want to declare. During the studies journalists can be an active adherents of some group or foundation, try to take interviews from interesting (but not necessary famous people), discover a moving topics, try to analyse obtained news, take internship in some local newspaper and actively learn future job. Finding a good and rewarding work is an essential target of all studies.

Young people can find job in any field, but they have to have interest in what they want to do (and sometimes by very patient). If somebody has finished accomplished Ethnology and he loves old folk practices and has knowledge about herbs – that’s magnificent, he can crate a book, have a shop or teach people how to search medicinal herbs – all he needs it is a fine concept. He must find out how to use and extend his ability. A passion and an thought that is all what students need to have.
